Scattering of Ashes
A ceremony to scatter ashes can be very comforting and creates a time for family to gather to create a special last act of farewell.
There are many ways you can scatter your loved one’s ashes. Often, people feel that returning to the soil or water is completing the circle of life. Ashes can be scattered at a favourite place – in a wood, on a beach or from a hilltop. A keen sailor might wish to be scattered at sea, or a pilot air-scattered from a plane.
Scattering your loved one’s ashes somewhere special allows you to let them go while creating a place to remember them.
There are now many ways of keeping your loved one close by incorporating their ashes into keepsakes such as jewellery, glassware, paintings and even tattoos.
